Nancy Twigg doesn’t just talk about simple, meaningful, debt-free living.
She and her family live it every day. Until just recently, the Twiggs owned only one car. They do not have cable TV or caller ID. Most of their clothes come from yard sales and their only debt is their mortgage. Yet they are happy with their lives and content not to keep up with the Joneses.
Nancy and her husband, Michael, have found peace of mind and peace of pocketbook by practicing biblical principles of good financial management and purposeful living. Nancy shares with others how they too can live simply, frugally and abundantly. Many books and newsletters exist on the topics of
simplicity and frugality. What makes Nancy’s message different is that she doesn’t just talk about how to live simply but also why -- so that we can be free and unfettered to fully pursue God’s best for our lives.
Here are a few of the topics that are near and dear to Nancy's heart:
-
K.I.S.S. - Keep It Simple, Sister!
– Are you overwhelmed and overwrought? Overdone and overdrawn? Nancy
shows you how to cut through life’s clutter and keep life simple––simply
focused on Jesus, that is. Learn to kiss good-bye all the things that
weigh you down and hold you back from running the race our Heavenly
Father has marked out for you.
-
Living Simply in a World that’s Not
– Are we as Christians called to live simply? Is it even possible to
living simply in a world that is so complex? Nancy believes the answer to
both of these questions is "Yes." In this session, Nancy
explains how God blesses us for answering the call to choose a simpler
lifestyle. Learn the biblical basis for simplicity as well as practical
strategies for keeping life focused and unfettered by things of this
world.
Contentment in a Discontented World –
Do you ever think, "I could be content if only this or that
would happen"? The Apostle Paul said he had learned to be content, no
matter what. This session focuses on finding joy in your circumstances—whatever
they may be. Nancy explains what biblical contentment is and shows you how
to arrest the contentment thieves that steal your contentment from
you.
Creative Frugality – Does the word
frugality cause you to cringe? Unfortunately being frugal is often
confused with being cheap. In reality, frugality is really nothing more
than good stewardship of the financial blessings God has given us. In this
lesson, Nancy explains what creative frugality is, what it’s not, and
how putting it into practice can enrich your life.

Several
years ago, Nancy took this idea of simple and purposeful living and
expanded it to include how we celebrate. In her book, Celebrate
Simply: Your Guide to Simpler, More Meaningful Holidays and Special
Occasions, Nancy shows readers how to celebrate with less
expense, less stress and much great fulfillment and satisfaction. As a
holiday event speaker, Nancy's messages on simple celebrations can give you the tools
you need to:
