"A great day to
me would be:
- When the weather is pleasant, I'm feeling well, it's early morning, and I'm pawing through great stuff at a yard sale. - The day a project of mine is finished and turns out well. Like when our son's room was finally painted, or the tree house or a quilt got done. - A day for a leisurely walk in a wooded area as the leaves are gloriously changing and the weather is still warmish. Or equally nice in the spring, with the smell of dirt as it's waking up in the air, and plants are that impossible-to-reproduce-in-paint-colors yellow green." ~ Anonymous "The minute I open my eyes, I consider it a great day.....if I can thank the Lord .....and I do not awaken with a migraine headache. Then after that is accomplished, I began to look for God's grace in the simplicity of life. (Example: looking into the face of caterpillar, studying the spots on butterfly, watching buds open on my plants....)" ~ Waltheria "There is nothing exciting about my extraordinary' day. It's just a day I have been dreaming of for years. A day when my house is clean and neat, the phone is unplugged/doesn't ring. I have no pressing projects to complete or, better yet, they are all done. I have a good book or two, including my Bible, plus some magazines and writing material. I can spend the day reading, writing letters, listening to music, talking to God and maybe taking a nap. The weather should be not too hot or too cold so I can talk a walk when I would like. A retreat right in my own home where I am comfortable and my favorite beverage is all ready in my refrigerator." ~ Chris "For me, it is seeing the ordinary in a new way. My children teach me that on an almost daily basis. They see my world from such a different perspective. From butterflies hovering near us to just say, 'Hello,' to watching their 'wind breath' scatter dandelion fluff. These events are what turn my ordinary days into extraordinary days." ~ Larri
